Diabetes is much spoken subject by thousands of people around the world. It is often called a killer disease or silent killer. Is not these names for diabetes sounds dangerous. Is it truly a killer disease?
The answer is Yes and also No. Conflicting answers.
Yes, till you finish reading this small article.
Diabetes is deadly and a killer disease. Diabetes is not only a killer disease but a silent killer. It is because many will not recognize it till the disease become serious. It is because there will not be any alarming symptoms for diabetes in the initial stages . That is why they never know that they have diabetes. And so named Silent Killer’
.
Why it is not recognized?

We consume lots of fats by eating fast foods and oily stuff. We increase out weight. We never care to bother about the amount of fats that are accumulated in the body. We never burn it since we do not do exercises. Body gives signals. It tells us that you are becoming overweight by becoming  tired fast, not willing to work and wanted to be lethargic. We do not hear these alarms. We give a deaf ear. And we neglect the symptoms because of sheer negligence. We also take things light till things become serious.

You need not even diagnose nor go to diabetic centers will acute symptoms if you follow these simple steps.

Regular brisk walk everyday same time ( regularity and time maintenance is important)
Take care of over weight  ( burn fats as and when they accumulate by heavy exercises )
Regular exercise every day ( Time maintenance is again is important )
Avoid eating fast foods or fatty foods
Even if we eat on any occasion doing equivalent exercise to burn excess fat

Take it from me you will never become Diabetic.

If you are above forty and if you have hierarchy history of diabetes in your family consult a doctor or have periodic sugar tests.

i think u also need to know that type 1 diabetics have no control over wether or not they have diabetes, while u can control it, some people may not realize they have type 1 (which is when your pancreas stops producing insulin). it took at least three months before my doctors realized i had the auto-immune disease, and i was lucky to not have entered a diabetic coma or become very very sick because of diabetic ketoacidosis. so, take it from me, type 1 diabetics will become diabetic no matter diet or exercise, and could very well become sick or die from this disease.

Boy, are you ignorant. First of all, not all diabetes is Type 2, related to diet and exercise--a fair number of people with diabetes have Type 1 diabetes or a condition called Type 1.5, which have NOTHING to do with what they eat or how much they exercise. It's autoimmune and is likely related to a combination of genetics, viruses, and possibly environmental issues like vitamin D levels. Second, diet and exercise aren't even the complete picture for Type 2 diabetes, because there are plenty of people who eat poorly and get no exercise who DON'T get diabetes, and others who eat a balanced diet and get plentiful exercise who DO. Are you going to hold those who do responsible for their genetic makeup, too? And finally, no matter how careful a person with diabetes is about managing the disease, lows and highs happen, and so does ketoacidosis. They are life-threatening events sometimes. THAT is why diabetes is dangerous, never mind the long-term complications. If you have diabetes, you had better learn a bit more about what you're facing than what you've shown here, because you'll be in deep doo-doo very soon if you don't. And if you don't have diabetes and are just spouting off about something you clearly know nothing about, take it somewhere else. Those of us who deal with this disease every day have better things to do than correct ignorant babbling.

Well, perhaps YOU can believe this, it's from the most recent assessment made jointly by the major diabetes authorities of the US, UK, and Canada, it’s called the National Diabetes Fact Sheet, 2007.

Adults with diabetes have heart disease death rates about 2 to 4 times higher than non-diabetics.
The risk for stroke is 2 to 4 times higher in diabetics.
Diabetes is the leading cause in new cases of blindness among adults 20 years and older.
Diabetes is the leading cause of kidney failure.
Diabetics suffered more than 60 % of all amputations (not including accident victims).
Diabetes is the 7th leading cause of death in the U.S. and diabetes contributed to 233,619 deaths in 2005, the latest year for which data was available.
