i have an infection at my old pump site that i found when i removed it.  i have an appointment with my gp on monday.  this is my first site infection.  should i just wait until monday and have it taken care of or go get it looked at in the ER tomorrow.  it isn't painful, just a little warm and there's a small knot under my skin.  i have no idea if this is a big deal or not.

Hi Bek: From my experience with Hannah, your infection can turn into something bigger. We have a salve (ointment) that we put on small infections that draws the infection out. We have been successful using that with a bandaid on Hannah's sites that get infected. It doesn't happen too often but when it does some times they are painful. It is good to keep an eye on them especially if you are treating them yourself. If you can find something to use to treat them yourself, it would be a lot cheaper than going to the er :).... good luck.
