HI!!! Oh, that's ok. Sometimes I take a vacation from being online, too. It can lead to info overload which just leaves me overwhelmed. I have been thinking about you a lot, though and I am glad to see you are ok!! I've missed you!!!
Well thanks! "Born again" was actually a term my DOCTOR used!! It made me feel so normal! I knew that if my doctor had a term for it, that I certainly couldn't be the only one...so I am on the prowl for others who have &qu...
I am a T1 diabetic who was diagnosed when I was 9. I became a born again diabetic in December of 2007 after spending many many years completely neglecting my health. It has been a struggle, but life is a struggle, and I am making it one bolus at a time! =:~)

Yeah, sometimes you just have to take a break from the world. I'm doing great! Except the back aches accompanied with pregnancy! Oh well, though, there's a baby coming so it's a good reason for back pain! lol. Are things going well with you?
Hey girl, sorry I've disappeared for awhile! Life has been SO crazy! I'm finally getting back to my online network of friends. Are things going okay for you??? I hope so! My a1c has gotten lower and lower, I'm kinda scared for my next one, though, cause I've had some major resistance problems. Oh well, what can you do other than keep trying?? Hope all is well with you!! :D
Thanks so much for creating the Born Again Diabetics group,Suzanne! What a great idea and a great motivator to get us Born Agains on track by supporting one another.
I love your term, "born again diabetic"! I've definitely felt that way a time or two as I've recovered from a couple of phases of acting as though I don't have diabetes. Fortunately, I'm currently in a "good" phase and in control. Keep up the positive spirit!
Thank You so very much, Suzanne!Yeah, this would definitely explain the random ketones and not being able to get my sugars under 200. I've got that pretty much figured out now, for now. :)
You're such a doll. :D Thanks for being such a wonderful encouragement. It really is amazing how we've found eachother and our stories could be the others. As sad as it is, it's awesome to have someone else too! Thanks!
