I am currently a stay at home mom of two boys ages 5 and 3. I am starting nutrition classes soon as my goal is to become a nutritionist. I love collecting antiques, spending time with my husband, boys and friends. I have lost 88 pounds since diagnosis so I now enjoy mountain biking, roller blading and other sport activities I had long since given up.
I'm lucky. Working at a high school means that I'm not setting as much as people would think. There's a lot of getting up and down. I actually stay active during the day at work. I have learned to listen to my legs. When I start feeling an increase in my leg pain I've found that it usually means my glucose level is running higher than normal. I have been on medication to help control my pain, amnotriptolene (spelling?)
Hey Amie, thanks!! There certaintly are no limits, only those which you set upon yourself. Anything is possible. I applaud you for 88lbs, thats incredible :) Keep it up
Thanks for your comment on my blog post. Isn't it funny how much harder it is to stick someone else than to stick ourselves? Thanks for the well wishes for my little Charlie too. I'm not sure yet if we will be able to get him through this rough patch, but we are trying all we can.
